Peter May Engineering

Established in 1979, Peter May Engineering has been developing and engineering components for use in motorsport and fast road use for  forty years.

Peter May Engineering engines have been successfully used to power its customers’ cars to race and championship victories in the UK and internationally. Our components are used across the world including: USA, Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Denmark and Japan all enjoying success with our products.

Highly respected within the classic car and motor sport industries for building reliable highly tuned engines, as well as for developing specialist competition components available for many competition cars powered by A series engines including: historic Formula Junior, Austin Healey Sprites and MG Midgets and Austin A35s, Minis, Morris Minors, Austin A40s, Turners etc.

We also have a strong heritage for developing products for the larger B Series engined cars such as: MGA, MGB and TVR Granturas. More recently we have also begun developing K-Series engines for competition use. 


In addition to its engine and gearboxes, Peter May Engineering also has a reputation for supplying specialist components including; suspension and transmission parts, as well as lightweight GRP body panels.

Peter May Engineering continues to developed and evolve the our range of race engines, as well as its specialist suspension and transmission parts; to ensure that all are kept up to date with the latest technology and developments.
